sleep like a baby

The thing about being a baby is that
you get to sleep... alot! Lucky little guy can sleep just about anywhere too.. the car, couch, your lap, the changing table. I love watching babies sleep becuase they are so peaceful. I wonder what he dreams about, and if there is language in his dreams. And if so what language is it?

Two kiddos

Being a mommy to two kids has been way harder then just the one. Porter thinks that whenever I am sitting down he needs to be in my lap... the problem is that when I am sitting its usually because I am nursing so then Theo is in my lap too! I am really starting to wonder what you do when you have three kids.. and then you don't have enough arm or lap room! I guess you just have to hope by then your oldest is out of the snuggle stage...

One night I was making dinner and Theo wouldn't stop fussing so i strapped him into the snuggly while cooking. Porter and I started to eat (Cory was working late this night) Porter had skipped his nap that day and was really cranky. He started to cry about something small like his food fell off his fork onto his leg... he is really OCD about messes like that. He came to my lap for some comfort and fell asleep in about a minute! I couldn't maneuver myself up since porter is so heavy and with the snuggly in the way I couldn't use both my hands. I didn't want to dump him on the floor and have a really cranky screaming kid that would wake up a finally sleeping Theo. So there i was stranded sitting at the table. About 30 minutes later Cory finally came home to rescue me.

Out of the mouth of babes

Today I was watching the 177th semi annual Conference. When the morning session ended they were playing organ music and showed temple square and zoomed out to show the temple. When they did that Porter jumped up and was really excited. He turned around and exclaimed " Mommy! Jesus Christ is there"! It was so adorable. He has been asking all day when we are going to go there so he can see Jesus.

Push ups

Theo is getting so big. He can hold his head up for a while now. He loves to look at the little mirror on this thing on his changing table. He thinks he is a pretty good lookin guy!
He will only do this for about 5-10 minutes though and then he decided he is tired and starts to fuss. He also likes to be on his tummy and suck on his fists. I wont be surprised if he turns into a thumb sucker with how much he has those hands in his mouth!

Also his hair does that on its own. I actually comb it flat after his bath but its so feathery light and when it dries it just poofs all over the place and looks like we just rubbed a baloon on his head.

Colors of cars

I was sitting in the other room and could hear porter saying all of his colors, I came in to find him picking each car up and naming its color and putting it back into line. He is so specific on how his cars are lined up and how he plays with them. Anyways i took a video of him telling all the colors and counting them. He FINALLY counts with all the numbers.. instead of the 123789 he did for so long.

It Snowed!?!

The past several weeks have been beautiful here in Utah. The temperatures were up in the 70's and the sun was finally out and the depressing inversion gone. We enjoyed the park and porter rode his bike for hours. We fed ducks, played on the swings, and rode with the sunroof open on the car!

So needless to say I was not pleased to awake to inches of snow on the ground and more of it swirling through the air. Are you kidding me?? I was not ready to go back into the winter! I already had unpacked my Capri's and sandals! I cant believe we are in the 20-30 degree temps again! Its almost Easter! *sigh*

Its days like today that make me seriously want to move to somewhere like Florida or Hawaii where its just sunny and warm year round.

Cars

Porter loves to play with his cars. He lines them up carefully and then he moves them all in order to a new line up. Its really kind of fun to watch his little mind at work. Here are a few pics of him playing with his favorite toys.

Our little man Theo is Three months old already! He is smiling and cooing now and we cant get enough of it!

Well I decided to jump on the blog bandwagon! Hopefully this can help all you out of towners keep up with my boys and whats going on in our lives. Hope I can keep up with this! If i dont post for a while.. its becuase life is happening and I will catch up when I have the time!
