Seattle Trip- Friday

Friday in the morning we went to the childrens museum in Seattle Center. The kids all had a good time, and it was good to get them out of the hotel room for most of the day since Friday evening the men went to the marineer baseball game against the yankees. They were all happy that the marineers won. ( is that really how you spell marineers? it looks wrond to me but spell check says its right. Maybe its spelled so wrong spell check doesnt even know. maybe spellcheck is currently broken? at any rate you all know what i mean) Mary and I had loads of fun of our own with all three kids at the hotel room. (dripping with sarcasm here) Eventually we got them all to go to sleep thankfully and we enjoyed a movie that we had rented. After driving through downtown seattle to rent the movie I have decided that i could never live there. Every other street is a one way only and its so confusing to me! I think I am just a smaller town/ subburb kind of girl.

Porter wanted to build something so Aunt Mary helped him get started. He always sticks his tounge out while concentrating.. I think its genetic as my mom does the exact thing!

The building was a bit beyond Theo, so we took him back to the little kid area and left Uncle Ben and Cory to help Porter with his project. ( oh ya i know thi picture should be turned... but hey i am lazy and if i waited to do that i might never get this posted at all)
We came back to find the boys had built a really cool houst. Porter wanted to know where the door was though and didnt seem to think it made any sence that it was on the ceiling.

This is my friend Tricia that met us for the day. I have known her for three years, I actually met her on a babyboard when i was pregnant with Taylor. It was great to finally meet her in person!

This picture isnt the best but I had to post it becuase its a good shot of my sister Mary's big ol baby belly! Porter was being my waiter and bringing me yummy food. It kind of looks like his leg is turning into sand like that guy in the spiderman movie. My camera does have all these features to make it not blurry but i only know how to use the point and shoot auto feature so many of my picures dont turn out!

This is a really cool fountain that was in Seattle center. It was about 70 degrees this day with a slight wind which was warm and nice for walking around but I was surprised to see kids in swim suits running through it! Here is Uncle Ben holding Theo. Porter was off playing tag with the water spraying out...

at the base of it.. it was quite impressive. I must say though that 16 dollars a person is a bit much to charge for an elevator ride and a view. Maybe I am just cheap? At least the kiddos were free. And now I can say i went up there.

Seattle Trip- Thursday

We met my sister Mary and her husband Ben in Seattle and we all stayed together at a hotel a couple blocks from Seattle center. The first night we all played musical beds and in the morning this is how Cory, Porter, and Theo were sleeping.
They were all sleeping so soundly I went down to eat breakfast with Mary and Ben and left them ( our hotel had one of those hot continental breakfast with waffles Mmmmmmm) I came back to find them all still asleep! This sleeping trend continued the rest of the trip. One night Cory put them to bed together and got in bed with me but in the middle of the night we heard a thud as Theo rolled off the bed followed by crying so Cory ended up just sleeping with them again. Oh and before you ask we did get a roll away crib but it was a bit small and Theo wouldn't sleep in it.

We spent the next couple days at Seattle center. They have a little carnival type thing so the boys went on rides.


Theo is currently terrified of carousals so just Porter and I went on this one.

We checked out the science center and they had a really fun kid area!

These chairs and table were to scale twice the size of what we are used to. So it was like being a 18 month old to sit in them! It really reminded me of why Theo still needs a booster at the table when we eat.
Outside they had these water features that were fun to play with. Porter thought it was great fun.

nothing tops off a long day better than a swim! The water was really cold though so Cory didn't get in with porter and we all just watched him from the side!

Seattle trip- the plane ride there

Our first experiment in plane travel with three kids.. twas interesting to say the least! For one thing navigating three kids, a stroller, and carry ons through the security is a bit tricky. Everyone has to take their shoes off and so barefoot Porter walks through, followed by Theo who sets off the alarm due to his overalls. So Cory strips the kid and then our pant less child is running loose on the other side while Cory tries to get his belt off which he hadn't thought of before... ahh good times involving many looks from pity to annoyance.

Our first flight was on Jet Blue and I must say that I love them! They have TVs on the back of each seat with direct TV so Porter and Theo watched Cartoon network and the flight went well. They also have kid friendly snacks like animal crackers! Who ever is on their board obviously has flown with a child to think of such wonderful things! I think any future vacations we take have to be at locations serviced by jet blue.

Preston Slept in my lap, no crying just nursed at take off and landing. Everyone asked how old he was and were so surprised he was only 4 weeks. My big ol baby wouldn't stay newborn looking long enough for me!

Cory sat in front of us with Theo on the first stretch, who happily watched TV half the time and the other half we bribed with fruit snacks.

We had a three hour lay over in California on the way there. The boys entertained themselves by running up and down the empty corridor. A few minutes after this picture Theo fell flat on his face and got a nice bruise on his forehead. Luckily his hair is so long it covered it up!

.The second flight the plane was only a third full so we had lots of room to stretch out in. Theo slept the first half, and Preston slept the whole time!
